(a) Verifying your identity;

(b) Retrieving data and reports from the Credit Bureaus Singapore, including checking your balance quantum once or multiple times;

(c) Generating personalized loan offers;

(d) Contacting you to finalize loan terms and arrange the execution of loan documents; and

(e) Any other purposes directly related or incidental to the above. In such cases, you acknowledge that your personal data will be subject to the respective privacy policies of our partners.

2.4 Recordings of voice calls and electronic communications with you may be utilized for training and analytical purposes.

3. Information Disclosure

3.1 We maintain the confidentiality of your personal data, but you agree that we may provide information to:

(a) Any member of our group, including our subsidiaries, ultimate holding company, and its subsidiaries as defined in Section 5 of the Companies Act (Chapter 50);

7.1 As of September 1, 2019, the Singapore Personal Data Protection Commission imposed stricter rules concerning the collection, use, and handling of NRIC numbers by organizations.

7.2 Given Mr. Loan’s role as a loan broker and intermediary between you and our partners, we collect your NRIC number and disclose it to partners to facilitate service provision in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The purposes for collecting and using your NRIC number are detailed below:

(a) Compliance with legal requirements under the MA: Pursuant to the Singapore MA, licensed financial institutions must obtain NRIC numbers (among other personal data) from every loan applicant before granting loans; and

(b) Adherence to the CBS requirements regarding procedures pertaining to the balance quantum check.

7.3 Due to the risks and potential consequences of unauthorized use or disclosure of personal data associated with your NRIC number, we implement enhanced security measures to protect it, including storing your NRIC number in an encrypted database. Your NRIC number will not be disclosed to any merchant or third party other than our partners and credit reference agencies.

7.4 We collect your full NRIC number upon registration and retain it for as long as reasonably necessary and in accordance with the law. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy, and we assure you that we will handle and protect your NRIC number with particular care.

8. Your Rights

8.1 You have the following rights:

(a) To verify whether we hold personal data about you;

(b) To access any personal data we hold about you; and

(c) To request corrections to any inaccuracies or errors in your personal data held by us.

8.2 Requests under Clause 8.1 may be subject to a small administrative fee to cover our processing costs.
